Scott Shapiro - Senior Director

Scott Shapiro brings more than 20 years of life sciences recruiting experience to Genepool Networks, with a career built around one core belief: the best search partnerships are built on trust, relationships, and a genuine understanding of the people and companies involved.

Throughout his career, Scott has partnered with emerging life sciences companies, founders, investors, and senior executives to build teams across leadership, R&D, clinical, medical, regulatory, and operational functions.

Before joining Genepool, Scott founded and led Biomedical Talent Advisors, where he built a highly personalized search practice focused on flexible, tailored search solutions designed around each client’s unique needs and long-term goals. Before that, he spent nearly 15 years helping build and lead the Life Sciences practice at firstPRO.

Scott holds a BS in Biology & Chemistry from Georgia State University and is based in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife and kids. Outside of work, you’ll usually find him coaching youth softball or shopping at Costco as a self-proclaimed Kirkland brand ambassador.
